Death is My Beginning

I'm currently trying to write a story about a girl named Maxime (Max) Sartori. Max is a regular girl in a regular family - they're even pretty happy. Her life is fine, she's well-adjusted and mentally sound. But not for long. She gets turned into something she had no idea even existed - a vampire. And the one who turned her is going to make her kill her family. So now, instead of worrying about her future job or finding a boyfriend, she has to worry about being dead and the possibility that her family might soon follow her.

Is this a good idea? Do you guys have any ideas to help me? It will be told in first-person, that I know. But what about the guy? Why does he want her to kill her family? To torture her? To severe her ties to the human world? To make her rely on him? I'm open to any suggestion you might have.

That sounds like a wonderful story with great potential. (I like weres better than vamps, but that's just me ) Um... I'm pretty braindead as to why he wants to do what he does. I'm really sorry, maybe I'll be more helpful later

You're welcome. Okay, so I got an idea now. This may seem incredibly dumb and I'm sorry if it does, because like I said I'm braindead right now, but...

Perhaps he could want to kill her family because their ancestors were vampire hunters or something? "vampire hunters" sounds cheesy but you get the idea. So basically he wants revenge.
