A story I'm trying to write. :P

So last semester up at college I got an idea for a story from a dream i had...
However I didn't write it down straight away and I forgot much of the main plot, but here are some ideas that I do remember:

Characters: (names might change, will add descriptions of personalities)

Main Characters:
Azrael - (Angel/fallen/human) terrified of heights, has a low self esteem, can have a temper about certain things, clumsy, has a habit to be in dangerous situations
Lay - (Demon) Tall, dark, mysterious, dark black hair, messy mop cut, glowing red eyes after a kill, dark bat like wings,

Minor Characters:
Etain - Angel of Jealousy, Horse like in the face, lidded green eyes, wants to be like or have everything.
Callidora - (Angel) Beautiful. Kind of the queen bee of the other young angel girls. Crystal Blue eyes, translucent skin, oval face, can win any guy over with a bat of an eyelash.

Worlds:

Heaven:
Beautiful, high in the clouds, golden gates, line of mortal souls waiting to cross over.
Academy of the Holy Name - School that the angels attend to learn their basic in reading writing, using their wings, healing powers, etc.
Heavenly Council - Decides everything the laws, punishments, etc.
--> Originally sends Azrael to Earth as her punishment.

Earth:
Dark, going through a crisis with waste and pollution, murders happening almost everyday.
Big City: (gotta do some research on the most dangerous city to live in.)
Azrael lives as a human with a human family in a tiny three room apartment building on the west side of town.
Walking down a dark alley way she runs into Lay, the exiled demon prince, as he just murdered a man and was stealing his soul.

That's what I have so far, just bits and pieces of what I'm trying to brain storm up. I did write a little bit of the introduction to my story but I really don't know where I'm heading with it. for a possible genre I'd say maybe action and romance, or maybe drama and romance. :B

As for a name title for my story I really don't have one. I've just been calling it Angel story for the time being...

The begining part of the story takes place in the heavenly realm, however after the main girl does something (I don't remember what she did from my dream) she is punished by the heavenly council and is sent down to earth to carry out her punishment by living like a mortal for a few years. During her punishment she accidentally runs into a young man in an alley after he has just committed a murder.

after that I'm not sure. >.>

Wow, that sounds like a really interesting story. I'm an agnostic, but I do love stories about angels and demons. I would just suggest reading Dante's Divine Comedy trilogy for reference, it's basically about a man who goes through Hell, Limbo, and Heaven, and is a suggested read for anyone who wants to write about those things. It might also give you some ideas for why Azrael was punished.

Ooo I'll have to check it out. ^^
I'm an atheist but for some reason this idea just kind of hit me.
I'm not sure how I want Azrael to be punished but I do know the two other angels I mentioned already, Callidora and Etain will play a role in it.

Then after awhile in the story I hope to have the angel(azrael) and the demon (lay - might change his name

) end up saving the world / earth from something. >.>
